The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly will begin on February 20 and will continue till March 10. The Yogi government of the state will present the budget on 22 February. On the other hand, due to Holi, there will be a holiday of three days from 7 to 9 February in the budget session which will run till 10 March. This information was given by a senior official of the assembly. As per the program decided by the Speaker Satish Mahana, on the first day, Governor Anandi Ben Patel will address a joint sitting of the upper and lower houses. The state budget will be presented on February 22.
According to media reports, the assembly proceedings will be adjourned on February 21 to condole the demise of Apna Dal (S) MLA Rahul Prakash Kaul. Recently, MLA Kol, who represented Chhanbe Vidhansabha constituency of Mirzapur, passed away after a prolonged illness.
